The LA Phil is expert in designing engaging concert experiences for specific audiences. Not only do we want to serve audiences who are tried and true, but new audiences with young faces and in unusual settings – in churches and school auditoriums – for people less familiar with music of the LA Phil.
Teachers bring students for free to experience the orchestra in Walt Disney Concert Hall through Symphonies for Schools and Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts school day concerts.
The Hollywood Bowl is home to SummerSounds, a 6-week summer world music series for very young children and their families.
Neighborhood and Community Concerts may bring the orchestra or chamber music into settings closer to home.
