Professional Development Training for Musicians and Teachers

The Mission of our Professional Development Initiatives is to further develop and support teaching skills of musicians and teachers so that students' music learning is deepened.

We Aim to:

  • Develop a sense of faculty among those who work together in LA Phil's Education programs - LA Phil musicians, teaching artists, school based music specialists, and classroom teachers.
  • Demonstrate best teaching and learning practices.
  • Investigate the dual role of artist and teacher.
  • Share, practice, and develop curricula for specific programs.
  • Offer participants more access to the LA Phil's high quality musicians and world-class concert hall.
