Symphonies for Schools
Do you remember the first time you heard an orchestra?
The LA Phil provides students the opportunity to connect to passionate musicians, a world-class orchestra, and a concert hall that students have described as a silver tulip.
All teachers are invited to plan a field trip that begins in your own classroom. Teachers participate in workshops that inspire and enable you to guide students through music activities with cross-curricular connections.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Symphonies for Schools program includes:
- Free admission to a concert performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
- Teacher resource guide in alignment with the State of California Visual and Performing Arts Framework and Arts Learning Standards,
- including recordings, extensive information on orchestral music and cross-curricular activities.
- Professional development workshop on the content of the concert performance. All participating teachers (including music teachers) are required to attend this workshop.

- Professional development workshop on the content of the concert performance. All participating teachers are required to attend this workshop.
