Over 400 music and social change advocates from 28 states and 13 countries, including 26 students from 14 El Sistema-inspired programs around the United States came together in Los Angeles. Over the three days of the symposium, attendees were inspired by world-class keynotes and participated in workshops relevant to different stages of program development. Interactive teaching workshops utilized as students our very own YOLA at LACHSA young musicians, who had started in the program just 5 weeks prior. The Symposium culminated in an orchestral rehearsal of 120 attendees, students and members of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.
