International Committee
Why belong to the International Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic?

Because of the opportunity to meet sophisticated women who share a passion for classical music and who enjoy interacting with women from different countries. Our members have formed bonds of friendship and keep connected by volunteering together.
True to its name, the International Committee is a mixture of American and foreign-born women, along with the prestigious wives of the Los Angeles Consular Corps whose husbands represent countries from all over the world.

Members meet at the homes of Consular Corps members who generously open their houses to us for a combination of lunch and musical programs.
We continue to raise funds by holding an annual International Benefit Ball. Each year, we feature a different country and give our guests the opportunity to be immersed in its beauty and music. The International Ball is an elegant mixture of pageantry, dancing, and fantastic programs that reflect the culture and spirit of the honored country. This year, on May 5, 2012, we will be celebrating Italy!

All of the proceeds support the LA Phil and its educational programs.
