Bruce Hudson

Ohio-native BRUCE HUDSON, horn, received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was winner of the Institute's 1990 Valedictory Prize. Hudson has had position appointments with various orchestras, including those in Erie, Akron, Canton, and Fort Wayne. He has been a member of the Ohio Chamber Orchestra (Cleveland Opera/Ballet) and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, and he has performed, recorded, and toured regularly with the Cleveland Orchestra since 1991.

Hudson has served on the faculties at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University. He is also a member of the Burning River Brass, a 12-member brass and percussion group. The group's first recording, Of Knights and Castles, was released on the Dorian label last year. Hudson joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic full-time in July 2000.
