AZRA KING-ABADI is a lighting designer currently based in Los Angeles. This will be her first production as a designer for the LA Philharmonic. Last season she had the privilege of be the assistant lighting designer for the LA Philharmonic's production of Mozart's, Don Giovanni. She has recently designed for Long Beach Opera's production of The Breasts of Tiresias & Tears of a Knife, as well as the following productions for the USC Thornton School of Music Opera Program; Hoiby's, The Tempest, Britten's, Owen Wingrave, and Mozart's, The Magic Flute.She is currently employed as the house assistant lighting designer at the Los Angeles Opera Company. Before moving to Los Angeles Azra worked as a lighting and costume designer on several theatre productions in Montreal.
