Barak Ballet, found in 2013 by artistic director, choreographer and former New York City Ballet dancer Melissa Barak, is a Los Angeles based ballet company dedicated to envisioning, developing, and performing contemporary dance for the modern age. In just three short years the company has presented seven world premieres and has staged over fifteen ballets, all to critical acclaim. Barak Ballet has presented performances in some of the most prestigious venues in Los Angeles including The Broad Stage in Santa Monica and The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. They made their Walt Disney Concert Hall debut in 2015 for the LA Philharmonic’s Fall Gala performance dancing to Beethoven’s Creatures of Prometheus, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. The company is thrilled to once again perform at Disney Hall this holiday season.
