BILL LEWIS (Harry the Horse) is making his second appearance at the Hollywood Bowl, having been featured here with the Dapper Dans of Disneyland in 2005. During his 11 years (1995-2006) with that world-famous quartet, the foursome co-starred on Home Improvement and That ’70s Show. In 2003, the Disney feature film The Haunted Mansion displayed their voices to great acclaim as “The Singing Busts.” Notable theater credits include the West Coast premiere of Chess at the Long Beach Civic Light Opera, The Great American Backstage Musical at the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera, and The Music Man at the Saddleback Civic Light Opera in Mission Viejo. Doing his best to keep musical theater alive, Bill has been a regular guest artist for the Downey Civic Light Opera over the past decade. His credits there include Fagin in Oliver, Herr Schultz in Cabaret, Oscar in Sweet Charity, Capt. Brackett in South Pacific, Cornelius Hackl in Hello, Dolly!, and Charlie in TinTypes. For the Glendale Center Theatre, he was widely lauded for his direction of Lend Me a Tenor in 2005. Other directing credits at the Glendale Center Theatre include Meet Me in St. Louis, Oklahoma!, and Life with Father. For the past three years, Bill’s musical skills have been on display with The Bootstrappers Pirate Band at Disneyland, where he is the highest paid penny-whistle player in the world. His original drinking song, “Vodka Is My Friend,” was the most requested number in the park last summer. He is married to actress Charlotte Carpenter, which officially makes him the luckiest man in show business.
