Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Bob Sheppard started playing clarinet at the age of 10 and has been playing saxophone since 7th grade. Bob’s father helped him pick the clarinet and encouraged him to practice and study privately. Bob thinks that playing music is a gift, and he feels very fortunate to have a job that is challenging and fun. His life as a musician has taken him all over the world performing and experiencing interesting cultures and making new friends. Bob Sheppard has played in many varied musical settings, including movies like Toy Story, Pink Panther, and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. He has also played on many jazz CDs and pop CDs from Madonna to Steely Dan.
