J. MARK MCVEY (Jean Valjean) made his Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables after winning the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actor while in Washington, D.C. The first American to perform as Valjean in London’s West End, McVey was there for seven wonderful years and a total of 2,912 performances.
