From playing with James Taylor to entertaining television audiences on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, JEFF BABKO has already had a varied musical career. Babko began playing the piano at the age of three and was given the "Young Artist" award by the International Association of Jazz Educators at the age of 18. He has studied with master jazz pianist Vince Maggio at the University of Miami, where he earned multiple awards at the National Collegiate Jazz Competition in Colorado. Babko has toured with Julio Iglesias, Simon Phillips, Toto, Tim McGraw, Shelby Lynne, Rick Braun, and more. An important milestone in Babko's life was touring with the legendary James Taylor on his "October Road" tour, taking over for piano/B3 master Larry Goldings in 2003. Babko's own project, humorously titled Broject, is slated for release this year. Jeff Babko & the Organ Lounge Project is a special collaboration Babko assembled for this event at Walt Disney Concert Hall featuring Jerry Moore on saxophone and Jimi Englund on drums.
