JEFF NEVILLE has been the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Personnel Manager since 2001. Prior to joining the Phil, Neville was the Director of Orchestra Personnel with the Saint Louis Symphony for 11 years. Neville received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan School of Music, where he studied trombone. He then joined the Honolulu Symphony as second trombone and spent the next 16 years performing in paradise. During his last six years with Honolulu, he combined his playing duties with those of personnel manager.
Neville has taught at the Punahou School and the University of Hawaii. He was also a founding member of the Honolulu Brass and Chamber Music Hawaii. An active member of the Orchestra Personnel Managers’ Conference, Neville has served on its Board and has been chair for three years.
