This season up and coming bass JORDAN BISCH he makes his debut at the Dallas Opera as Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor and returns to the Metropolitan Opera for the King in Aida. Mr. Bisch recently made his debuts at the Florida Grand Opera as Raimondo, the Seattle Opera in the world premiere of Daron Hagen’s Amelia and the Tanglewood Festival in a performance the Mozart Requiem, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas.

A graduate of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, Mr. Bisch made his main stage debut there as the Second Knight in Parsifal, and has since appeared in productions of Idomeneo, Romeo et Juliette, and on tour in Japan in Don Carlos. He also appeared as Kecel in the Julliard Metropolitan Opera production, conducted by James Levine. Other recent engagements have included his San Francisco Opera debut as Angelotti in Tosca, the Second Armored Man in Die Zauberflöte at the Los Angeles Opera and the Théâtre du Capitol in Toulouse, Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette with PORTopera in Portland, Maine, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte with the Julliard Opera Theater, and his European debut in Verbier, Switzerland as Paolo in Simon Boccanegra with Maestro Levine.

A native of Vancouver, Washington, Mr. Bisch recently won second place in the 2009 Operalia competition. Other awards include winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Grand Finals winner, recipient of the 2005 Sara Tucker Study Grant, and a recipient of the Richard Tucker Career Grant in both 2006 and 2009.
