Conductor KERI-LYNN WILSON debuts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Montreal Symphony, and the Vienna State Opera, Rome Opera, and the Florence Maggio Musicale this season. Her future debuts include the Bavarian Radio Symphony and the Royal Philharmonic.

A native of Winnipeg, Canada, Wilson has studied flute, piano, and violin. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in flute performance from the Juilliard School, where she studied with Julius Baker, and she made her Carnegie Recital Hall debut as a flutist at age 21.

Wilson made her conducting debut with the National Arts Center Orchestra of Ottawa in 1990 at age 23. A recipient of the Bruno Walter Fellowship at Juilliard in New York, Wilson graduated with a master’s degree in conducting in 1994. Wilson also served as Claudio Abbado’s assistant at the 1992 Salzburg Festival and was a conducting fellow at Tanglewood in 1994.

Wilson was Associate Conductor of the Dallas Symphony from 1994-98. During this period, she made her debuts with the St. Louis Symphony and Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, and she also conducted a televised concert at the Vatican with the Rome Opera Orchestra and soloists José Carreras and Andrea Bocelli.

Since leaving the Dallas Symphony, Wilson has conducted the Houston, Toronto, and Seattle Symphonies and the Hong Kong Philharmonic, among others. Her opera engagements have included performances at the Verona Arena, Nice Opera, and Turin Opera.

Wilson’s first recording for Dorian, Danzón, features Latin American compositions, and her second CD for the label, an album of the orchestral compositions of Howard Hanson, is slated for future release.
