Laurie is a director, playwright, actor, teacher and aunt to Cooper and Dean. For as long as she can remember, Laurie has always loved a good story and really enjoys talking, listening and being inspired by others’ adventures. Using her imagination, Laurie would play out the entire story in her mind, which got her in trouble for daydreaming. This resulted in her spending a lot of time grounded in her room where she would listen to music, read books and write in her journal. All this prepared her perfectly for being a director, because a director listens to people’s stories - whether it is through words, songs or photographs - and brings them to life for others to enjoy. Laurie is the Associate Artistic Director of Cornerstone Theater Company and former Conservatory Director for South Coast Repertory.
