About the performer
Lisa Ann Hill
LISA ANN HILL has been an actress since high school but fell into the costume industry in 1989 when cast in Jesus Christ Superstar at Cypress College.
Discovered as a fine stitcher, she was recommended to work in many costume
shops in the L.A. and Orange County areas. Her main occupation has been
working as a stitcher and/or first-hand for the Center Theatre Group, South
Coast Repertory, the L.A. Opera and local playhouses and colleges.
In 1992, Lisa became the assistant to Mitch Hanlon for the Mitch Hanlon
Singers, helping with both the children and adult choruses. Among other
administrative duties, the designing of their attire for their various
concerts became part of her job.
Lisa graduated in 1999 with a Masters of Art in Theatre Arts from California
State University, Fullerton. Since then she designed last year's Carousel
at the Bowl. She is enjoying being the co-designer on Showboat this year
since her two little sons take up most of her time.
