Since it originated in 1969 with a modest cast of six, TIHATI PRODUCTIONS has flourished into several shows, with international tours, television appearances, and exhilarating, authentic performances featuring musicians, singers, dancers, and choreographers from every Polynesian island group. Tihati ensembles have appeared on many popular television shows and in film, including Blue Crush (2003), Pacific Blue (1999), Six Days Seven Nights (1998), Hawaii Five-O, The Jeffersons, Magnum P.I., and The Osbournes.
Currently, Tihati produces nine shows. The savage war dances of Fiji, the mesmerizing Otea of Tahiti, and the scorching fireknife dance of Samoa are but a few exceptional highlights of every Tihati revue. These elaborate productions showcase the grand power as well as the delicate grace found only in the islands of the South Pacific. DRUMS OF POLYNESIA invites each guest on an unforgettable journey through the islands that leaves the visitor with an invigorating feeling of awe and wonder of an ancient time gone by.
