YOGEN BHAGAT, Artistic Director of BOLLYWOOD STEP DANCE, started his dancing career at the young age of three. Being a Civil Engineer by profession, his talent and passion for dance drew him to the world’s largest film industry: Bollywood. He has performed and choreographed across the world in over 200 live stage shows, award shows, and music videos. He has also been featured in many Bollywood movies, working alongside A-list celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, to name a few.

Now based in Los Angeles, he is the only Bollywood Choreographer to bring the authentic Bollywood Dance style to captivated audiences across North America. He launched his dance company, Bollywood Step Dance, in 2005, which has since generated a reputable image.

In addition to being awarded for his choreography, his credits include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen Show, ER, CW’s Melrose Place, and much more. He has showcased at events such as the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, India Splendor at UCLA Royce Hall, and in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood’s Theater of Performing Arts.

Yogen and his troupe were first at the Hollywood Bowl in 2006 with Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. They will return this year as they continue to spread the success of Bollywood music and dance.
