10th Anniversary Celebration

Inside Out 10th Anniversary Celebration

With eyes on the future and on our remarkable past, we celebrate 10 years of Walt Disney Concert Hall – inside and out. The festivities kick off in September with free concerts at community venues, culminating in the first joint concert by Youth Orchestra LA and the Los Angeles Philharmonic with Gustavo Dudamel at the Hall.

As he did 10 years ago, Yo-Yo Ma joins us for a spectacular Opening Night. (Subscribers will get priority access this summer.) In October, each of our Music Directors from this decade conducts two weeks of concerts. Dudamel is joined by two of the most esteemed pianists of our time, Yefim Bronfman and Leif Ove Andsnes. Esa-Pekka Salonen brings such specialties as Sibelius, Debussy and his own Violin Concerto.

Celebrations continue with Portuguese singer Mariza, our past and current Creative Chairs for Jazz in a one-of-a-kind collaboration, and the premiere of Frank Zappa’s mind-blowing 200 Motels. An array of community events and talks will punctuate the festivities.
