Part of BV1 Baroque Variations

About This Performance
National styles were points of pride and intense debate during the Baroque era. The comparative deck here is stacked in favor of Italy, however, with only a Bach reconstruction and a French-flavored suite by Telemann to argue the German side.
Recently nominated for a Grammy, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin offers a delicious array of concertos by Baroque masters from Italy and Germany for our delight and comparison.
Members of Akademie fur Alte Musik Berlin will be signing CDs at the LA Phil Store post-concert on Sunday night 3/30.
