About This Performance

The LA Phil performs genre-defying music by the founders of Bang on a Can. Begun in N.Y. by Michael Gordon, David Lang and Julia Wolfe as a one-day festival in 1987, Bang on a Can has grown to become a widely influential enterprise that commissions, performs, creates, presents and records contemporary music.
