About This Performance

The hugely gifted Leila Josefowicz plays Stravinsky’s neo-Classic masterwork. Composed in 1931, it consists of highly kinetic movements surrounding two instrumental arias. George Balanchine choreographed two ballets to it.

Come for:

Finnish conductor Susanna Mälkki, Music Director of the Ensemble intercontemporain, leads new music by Enno Poppe, a sensation on Europe’s festival circuit.

And more:

A beloved symphony by Brahms, his austerely noble Fourth.
