Music by Dvořák and Sibelius launches this six-concert series, followed by a sweeping Russian program of Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev and Scriabin. Composer/pianist/conductor Thomas Adès conducts Ravel, Saint-Saëns and two ambitious works of his own. The brilliant Christian Tetzlaff plays Dvořák, Gustavo Dudamel conducts Schubert and Mahler, and Yuja Wang conquers Bartók’s Third Piano Concerto in a concert also featuring music by Stravinsky and Janáček.
