About This Performance

Devoted to one of America’s greatest living composers, this evening features the west-coast premiere of the composer's new double-rock quintet 2x5 scored for 2 drum sets, 2 pianos, 4 electric guitars and 2 bass guitars; an exciting new video-enhanced arrangement of his early work Piano Phase, the classic and monumental Music for 18 Musicians, and more. Plus Reich himself will join in on the performance of Clapping Music.
