Celebrating the LA Phil 2016 Tour

April 06, 2016

Led by Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, the Los Angeles Philharmonic recently completed a triumphant five-city international tour to New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Luxembourg and London Sunday, March 13, through Thursday, March 24. The tour included the LA Phil’s second international residency at London’s Barbican Centre, return visits to New York and Amsterdam, and the orchestra’s first Luxembourg performance in almost 50 years. The orchestra also made its first visit to the newly opened Philharmonie in Paris. Dudamel and the orchestra performed works by Gustav Mahler, John Williams, Alberto Ginastera, Andrew Norman and Aaron Copland, all of which are part of the LA Phil’s 2015/16 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
