Do you remember the first time you heard an orchestra?

The LA Phil provides students the opportunity to connect to passionate musicians, a world-class orchestra, and a concert hall that students have described as a silver tulip.

All teachers are invited to plan a field trip that begins in your own classroom. Teachers participate in workshops that inspire and enable you to guide students through music activities with cross-curricular connections.

The 2017-18 application process is now closed - please check back in fall 2018.

Elementary Schools

Elementary school students will experience composer Andrew Norman’s LA Phil co-commissioned children’s opera A Trip to the Moon, directed by Artist-Collaborator Yuval Sharon.
