About this Performance

We celebrate Sondheim’s 90th birthday with this new, Dudamel-conducted production of one of the greatest-ever works of musical theater. In it, deeply touching truths about the agonies and ecstasies of the creative process are exposed through events in the life of French painter Georges Seurat.

The Thursday, May 7 performance is made possible by generous support from the Lloyd E. Rigler – Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation.
