MICHAEL DONOVAN is delighted to return to the Bowl, having previously cast last year's Amadeus. Michael is both the current and last year's recipient of the Casting Society of America's Artios award, given for outstanding achievement. In addition to numerous film, television, and commercial credits, Michael casts extensively for the theatre. Currently-running other productions include Can-Can (also directed by David Lee - at Pasadena Playhouse), Calling Aphrodite (International City Theatre, Long Beach), Blues in the Night (Post Street Theatre, San Francisco), and the national tour of Walking with Dinosaurs. Recent credits include Fences and also Sister Act: The Musical (both at Pasadena Playhouse), Sunday in the Park with George and also No Strings (both at Reprise!), Hippolytos (Getty Museum, Malibu) A Picture of Dorian Gray (Theatre @ Boston Court, Pasadena), The Violet Hour (Ensemble Theatre, Santa Barbara) and The Pursuit of Happiness (Laguna Playhouse). Regional theatre credits includes shows produced at Arkansas Rep, Cleveland Playhouse, Arizona Theatre Company, and the Alliance Theatre (Atlanta). Tours include Aida, Beauty and the Beast, and Buddy. TV credits include the Emmy-nominated The Flight that Fought Back, as well as 9 series. Michael, who has also cast over 1,000 commercials, is currently casting the film version of Shakespeare's Henry IV.
