JODY ELFF (sound designer) is a Grammy Award-winning audio engineer, sound artist and designer whose experience includes work with Yo-Yo Ma, Bang on a Can, Laurie Anderson, Meredith Monk, and many others. Elff has mixed countless televised concert events for ABC, NBC, MTV, and others. He has made field recordings of folk music in Morocco and Ethiopia, and his work with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble includes recording and mixing for three albums and sound design for hundreds of performances around the world. His corporate design work includes site-specific sound installations for Target and Turner Networks. His fine art sound works have been presented at museums and galleries internationally, including collaborations with David Lang and Diller Scofidio + Renfro on Musings on a Glass Box at Foundation Cartier in Paris and The Mile-Long Opera on New York City’s Highline. He was commissioned to create a sound art installation, “Strata,” which is on permanent display in Lyon, France.
