Chloe Kirk

Chloe Kirk (b. 2007) is a 2024/25 fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program. Her primary instruments are the piano and cello. Kirk attended the Colburn School of Music for many years, where she studied both classical and jazz piano, cello, and participated in multiple jazz / chamber ensembles and orchestras. Kirk has received a multitude of California state honors in piano performance through the Certificate of Merit Program and is the first chair cellist in her high-school orchestra, as well as a member of the advanced school ensemble. In 2024, Kirk’s original composition La Douleur Exquise was performed by the Worcester Chamber Music Society, as well as an original solo piano piece performed by Yoko Hagino. Her influences include the film music of John Williams, the Impressionist works of Ravel and Debussy, and a wide range of contemporary genres.
