About this Artist
Soojin Kang is the Associate Principal Percussionist with the Louisville Orchestra. She has performed with many acclaimed ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea.
Kang attended the Tanglewood Music Festival, Verbier Music Festival, and National Repertory Orchestra Festival.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from Seoul National University. In 2018, Kang moved to the United States to study at the University of Southern California under LA Philharmonic members James Babor, Joseph Pereira, and Matthew Howard. She received her Master’s degree there and worked as a teaching assistant.
