    WHAT: Bramwell Tovey continues his first of three Classical Tuesday/Thursday concerts at the Hollywood Bowl this season leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a concert featuring the long-anticipated return of acclaimed pianist Emanuel Ax, Thursday, August 12, at 8 p.m. Ax performs the massive four-movement Piano Concerto No. 2 by Johannes Brahms in a program that also includes Dvo?ák’s Noonday Witch Op. 108 and three Slavonic Dances.



    Tovey next appears at the Hollywood Bowl, Friday and Saturday, August 20 and 21, leading the LA Phil and violinist Baiba Skride in the Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks performances.



    Emanuel Ax has long been a collaborator of the LA Phil and was an LA Phil On Location Artist in the 2009/10 season. He last performed at the Hollywood Bowl in July of 2002.
