    Los Angeles, CA (October 9, 2013) - Each year, the sights and sounds of the season ring throughout Walt Disney Concert Hall at the annual holiday concerts. Beginning December 10, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association presents eclectic and festive programming, including the very first Christmas concerts with Music Director Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil, Grammy-winning artists The Blind Boys of Alabama, Judy Collins, Chanticleer and The Count Basie Orchestra, Oscar winner Julie Andrews, and two very special performances on New Year’s Eve featuring Sergio Mendes and Sheila E.

    CARNIVAL AT THE HALL:

    New Year’s Eve with Sergio Mendes and Sheila E.

    Multi-Grammy-winning producer, composer, keyboardist and vocalist Sergio Mendes and Emmy- and Grammy-nominated singer and percussionist Sheila E., joined by Brazilian dancers, will ring in the New Year at Walt Disney Concert Hall with two special performances.

    The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, under the vibrant leadership of Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, presents an inspiring array of music from all genres – orchestral, chamber and Baroque music, organ and celebrity recitals, new music, jazz, world music and pop – at two of L.A.’s iconic venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall (www.laphil.com) and the Hollywood Bowl (www.hollywoodbowl.com).
