Tokyo-born violist RICHARD ELEGINO has been a resident of California since 1972 and a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since December 1980. Mr. Elegino has served as principal violist of both the American Youth Symphony and the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, and was a member of the Pasadena Symphony. Each year he spends the month of June in Japan, performing in recitals and chamber music concerts and teaching at the Okinawa Conservatory of Music.
