Adams’ The Gospel According to the Other Mary
Based on the New Testament stories of Lazarus and Jesus' Passion, plus contemporary Latin American poetry, John Adams' The Gospel According to the Other Mary takes a fresh approach to the combination of materials that Adams pioneered so successfully in El Niño. It will be presented in a concert version, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and return the following season in a fully staged edition.
