About This Performance
Sonic connections for your Valentine's Weekend: the LA Phil's Former Resident Conductor, Lionel Bringuier, underlines the link between Berg’s early songs and Brahms to Brahms’ own take on a classical theme and Beethoven’s genial Fourth Symphony.
Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling, who sang Haydn’s The Creation with the LA Phil under Esa-Pekka Salonen, returning to perform liltingly beautiful Berg songs.
The first return of beloved conductor Lionel Bringuier in the wake of his six-year stint with the LA Phil. Bringuier is now Music Director of the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zürich.
