This extraordinary four-part vocal/instrumental work incorporates eclectic musical influences ranging from Bach to boogie-woogie, all in Andriessen’s unique style.

Composed during 1984-88 by Andriessen, Europe’s leading Minimalist, this rarely performed four-part quasi-opera displays his driven, intense, in-your-face, rock-influenced, edgy, and sonically unique style. Andriessen strongly influenced New York’s Bang On A Can, including founders Michael Gordon, David Lang and Julia Wolfe.
