Continuing the celebration from the opening of the Judith and Thomas L. Beckmen YOLA Center, YOLA is partnering with the Getty to host Getty 25 Celebrates Inglewood on May 14 and 15.

This two-day festival will highlight the Beckmen YOLA Center as a critical addition to the vibrant array of arts and culture in the City of Inglewood. Admired local musicians, artisans, and visual artists will lead workshops and performances throughout both festival days and musicians from our YOLA programs will perform in the Edgerton Foundation Performance Hall as part of the YOLA Institute orchestras along with special guests from the community.

About YOLA and the Beckmen YOLA Center

Youth Orchestra Los Angeles, better known as YOLA, provides young musicians across Los Angeles with free instruments and up to 18 hours of music instruction every week, as well as academic support and leadership training.  There are currently five YOLA sites in Los Angeles serving more than 1,500 young musicians and their families. The newest site, Beckmen YOLA Center at Inglewood, serves as a gathering place for students from existing and future YOLA sites. In addition to its youth programming, the Beckmen YOLA Center is a space for music educators from across the U.S. and around the world to collaborate and learn.
