From supporting young composers and up-and-coming musicians to presenting programs in the community, here’s how we’re advancing the state of the art—and the cultural ecosystem of our region.
YOLA–the LA Phil's music education program–works with community partners to provide free instruments, intensive music instruction, academic support, and leadership training in various areas of Los Angeles and beyond.

This whole experience has affirmed, or rather reaffirmed, in my mind that this is actually what I want to do with my skillset: to be a working musician, of course, but also to venture off into other things, like composing eventually or conducting, maybe. I’m open to all of it.
