About this Performance
Pianist Sunwook Kim—praised for his “keen mind” and “pearly virtuosity” by The Times of London—joins principal players and section musicians from the Los Angeles Philharmonic for two quartets. First is Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 2, which is vibrantly cheerful despite its technical demands on the performers. By contrast, Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3 abounds in the kind of Romantic emotional turmoil that can only come from unrequited love.See other concerts in this series
