LA Fest: La Santa Cecilia
Blending the Pan-American beats of cumbia, bossa nova, and bolero with rock, ska, and R&B, Los Angeles natives La Santa Cecilia celebrate the sounds of their hometown during LA Fest.
About This Performance
Grammy® Award winners La Santa Cecilia - who blend Pan-American rhythms of cumbia, bossa nova, and bolero with rock, ska, and R&B - kick off our World Music series with their Muerto Boogie Tour, as part of our festival focusing on the Los Angeles global music mix. Youth orchestra Filarmónica Maqueos Music will open the concert.
Due to a van accident that occurred early Monday morning, Cuco must cancel their appearance on this concert. We hold them in our thoughts and wish for speedy recovery.
Before the show, stop by the LA Fest Lounge for free tastings of our LA Phil 100 beer, brewed in collaboration with L.A. Ale Works, and tunes from some of our favorite local artists. October 11 through 14 in BP Hall.
