About this Performance
Approaching the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, I Believe is an exploration and artistic expression of the concepts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Classical California KUSC’s evening host and resident artist, Lara Downes, joins members of YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) on a journey through the music of Valerie Coleman, John Coltrane, and many other prolific composers with bespoke poetry created by members of YOLA.
