John Cartwright (upright bass), an accomplished musician, producer, composer, and arranger, and has worked with other noted artists, with Harry Belafonte, Luther Vandross, Nana Mouskouri, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Letta Mbulu, Caiphus Semenya of South Africa, Charlie Smalls, Dianne Reeves, Cassandra Wilson, and Willie Bobo. From Brooklyn, Anders Griffen (percussionist) is an expressive drummer who has worked with indie-folk recording artists such as Regina Spektor, Kimya Dawson, and Jeff Lewis, as well as avant-garde jazz players Frank Lowe, Michael Marcus, and Henry Warner.
