MARY DUNLEAVY (Katherina Cavalieri) has garnered consistent praise for her performances with the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra National de Paris, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, and Lyric Opera of Chicago, among others. She has sung Violetta in La traviata at the Met and other major companies worldwide to tremendous acclaim. She is only the third soprano to have sung both the Queen of the Night and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Met. Other recent highlights included all four heroines in Les contes d'Hoffmann with the Dallas Opera, the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Company of Philadelphia, Gilda in Rigoletto at the Met, and Konstanze in a new production of Die Entführung aus dem Serail at New York City Opera. She has sung Carmina burana with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the St. Louis Symphony, which she recorded for Telarc with the Atlanta Symphony and Donald Runnicles.
