About this Artist
A native of Korea, baritone IN JOON JANG studied at Key-Myung University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance. He came to the United States in 1996 and studied orchestral conducting with Jon Robertson at UCLA, where he earned a Master’s in vocal performance in 1999. He performed The Director and Presto in the UCLA production of Les mamelles de Tirésias by Francis Poulenc, and the role of Simone in Gianni Schicchi. Jang is performing with the Los Angeles Opera Chorus during the 1999/2000 season. He is currently a doctoral student of Timothy Mussard at UCLA, and he makes his Hollywood Bowl debut this summer.
