About this Artist

Carlos Parra- Mariachi Los Toros began as a childhood dream of director and composer, Carlos Parra. Under his direction the ensemble has performed at many prestigious venues and events: KCET Holiday Celebration at the Dorothy Chandler  Pavillion and Mariachi USA at the world- renowned Hollywood Bowl in 2002, 2004, and 2006.They have performed internationally throughout Mexico and nationally in New Mexico, Colorado, and Nebraska, to name a few. Most recently they have recorded music for a Mexican film titled "Los Campeones de La Lucha Libre". Los Toros have recorded a total of three albums with their latest entitled "Amigo Mariachi" released in August of 2009.  

With the experience Mr. Parra has gained over the years performing with the best mariachi's in the world, it drives him to compose music with a new, fresh style and edge which he considers "La Nueva Era del Mariachi". Mariachi Los Toros have been performing with Pacifico Dance Company for over 4 years and continue to keep the color and spirit of Mexico alive.
