About this Artist
Grammy-nominated German baritone THOMAS MOHR won several prestigious competitions and scholarships prior to embarking on his career singing operatic, concert and lieder works. In concert appearances, he has performed with a long list of the world’s most talented conductors including Christoph von Dohnanyi, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Kent Nagano, Sir Georg Solti, and Hans Vonk. He has also created numerous lyric baritone roles for opera companies throughout Europe, including Germany, France and Switzerland. Mohr made his Russian debut with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic singing Mahler and, recently, made his Japanese recital debut. He sang the role of Moses in Weill’s “Der Weg der Verheissung” this spring in New York and Tel Aviv. He has performed at many festivals including the Munich Opera Festival. Mohr makes his Los Angeles Philharmonic debut with these concerts.
