Ate9 dANCEcOMPANY

About this Artist

Ate9 was founded by Danielle Agami in 2012 fueled by her vision to transform dance and engage new audiences with bold, innovative work. After a very successful first season in Seattle, where the company premiered Sally meets Stu to rave reviews, Agami relocated Ate9 to Los Angeles in 2013 to expand opportunities for the company and fully manifest its mission. Within three months, Ate9 had made its Los Angeles debut with a performance of Sally meets Stu at Los Angeles Theater Center. The presentation electrified the audience and quickly established Ate9 as a refreshing, bold new voice on the L.A. dance scene. Ate9 is now a highly sought after dance company, presenting in Victoria, Texas, in Atlanta, and the Joyce Theater in New York in January 2016. The company’s recent commission, KELEV LAVAN was presented in the Founder's Room of the Los Angeles Music Center as part of the "Moves After Dark" program. Ate9 returned to work with The Industry opera company as part of the unconventional opera Hopscotch . This was Agami’s 2nd time working with The Industry after choreographing the critically acclaimed 2014 opera Invisible Cities. For its 2016/2017 season, Ate9 is developing two new creations, Calling Glenn and In There, along with several other popup shows and commissions.
