HALEI PARKER is excited to be assisting Judy Dolan on Night and Dreams: A Schubert & Beckett Recital. Her work as a costume designer has been seen not just in Los Angeles and her home state of Texas, but on stages in Canada, Mexico, and Edinburgh. Halei is a 2016 Ovation Award nominee for her costume design of The Hairy Ape at Odyssey Theatre Ensemble.
Upcoming and recent credits include Still Life and Gruesome Playground Injuries at Rogue Machine Theater, Punk Rock at Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, Residence Elsewhere for East West Players and the Japanese American National Museum, 1984 at Greenway Court Theatre, Pavilion at Malibu Playhouse, and Disco Dining Club’s immersive dinner theater piece, Fabergé Edition. When not working on professional stage productions, Halei is a passionate theater educator, and currently an adjunct professor of costume at CalPoly Pomona. Other mediums she enjoys are large scale chalk board art, collage, and balloon animals. She has an abiding interest in transformational clothing.
Halei lives in Koreatown with her beloved 3-year-old pit bull, Sadie. She is a proud Rogue Machine Theater company member, and Chalk Repertory Theatre Artistic Circle Member. She is a graduate of the MFA Theater Design program at UC San Diego, where she studied under Judy Dolan.
